After the overwhelming success of her debut album “The New Classic” Iggy Azalea is prepared to win them over once again with the release of “Reclassified”. The rap-tress has five brand new songs ready to be unleashed on November 24 and the lead single has just dropped but it’s not the groundbreaking track you expected. Lacking in originality “Beg For It” sees Azalea revisiting the beat of “Black Widow” while mashing it with a “Fancy” inspired chorus that seems messy and uninspired. I don’t know what’s going on but Iggy Azalea has always been one step ahead of everyone and this time it seems she’s living in the past trying to hold onto the success of its predecessors. After a few listens “Beg For It” does grow on you and is undeniably catchy but I was expecting more from her. She has also released “Iggy SZN” from the album as a promo single and that track is KILLER and makes me question why this wasn’t released as the lead single. Its sassy, fun and reminiscent of Iggy’s early mixtape material that made me fall in love with the unique rap-star.
