ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Ella Eyre

Ella-Eyre-III

Ella Eyre is a voice you’ll know but a name you may not be familiar with. She is the voice to your summer anthems “Waiting All Night” (Rudimental), “Think About It” (Naughty Boy) and “Someday/Place In The Sun” (Tinie Tempah). She has also been gracing your airways with her infectious soul/pop single “If I Go” with unforgettable vocals that will leave you impressed to say the least. This 20 year old songstress hailing from London is going places and leaving audiences in the UK impressed with her live shows and going back to witness them over and over again. We have seen a number of powerful vocalists in the last couple of year’s breakout from the UK and Ella will be the next name joining the likes of Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and Foxes.

Ella Eyre is set to release her FIERY new single “Comeback” on September 26 in Australia and September 28 in the UK. “Comeback” is the follow up to the powerful “If I Go”. Both songs are taken off Eyre’s debut studio album which is expected late 2014/early 2015. “Comeback” is an edgier pop/soul track which see’s her cussing like there’s no tomorrow. “We’ve all been played we all get hurt, just take that pain and let that motherfucker burn”. This super catchy track is set to win over new fans and impress the legion of followers she’s gained along the way. I believe Ella is one of the strongest female vocalists we have heard from the UK in a long time and her brass collision of soul, pop and urban will continue to turn heads.

If you like what you hear and want to hear more you can buy her EP “Deeper” on ITunes now. This five track EP includes three original songs and two remixes. “Deeper” was the first song I heard from Eyre with her harmonies, strong vocal range and powerful hook captivating me and intriguing me to hear more. “Going On” experiments with synths, vocal pace while integrating the soul/pop sound. “Love Me Like You” has a very similar sound to “Going On” and is one that grows on you after a few listens.

If you haven’t heard of Ella Eyre yet then do so now because I promise you won’t be disappointed.
