SINGLE REVIEW: The Script – Superheroes

The Script

After seeing The Script in concert last night I was convinced they were going to become as big as Coldplay. “Superheroes” is the first single from the bands forthcoming fourth studio album “No Sound Without Silence” and it delivers pop rock goodness. It’s nothing you wouldn’t expect from them and is almost borderline predictable but there’s no denying it’s a killer song. The sound is very similar to “Hall Of Fame” with the way the song builds and becomes an arena rock track. Lyrically it’s motivational and heartwarming with lead singer Danny belting “When you’ve been fighting for it all your life. You’ve been struggling to make things right, that’s how a Superhero learns to fly”. The Script need to bring something game changing to the table as a lot of their material is becoming too similar. After a first listen I wasn’t convinced but after a couple of listens it finally grew on me and I’m ready to hear what they have prepared next.
