SINGLE REVIEW: Maroon 5 – It Was Always You

Maroon 5

Maroon 5 are a band who continues on getting better with each album they release growing as a band and evolving with new styles of music incorporated into their music. Electornica is the new fusion to their pop/rock mix and “It Was Always You” is the first time fans have got to hear it properly. The song builds and climaxes with an array of different sounds being introduced. Many of the original Maroon 5 fans are a bit sceptical on this sound but I honestly think it works extremely well for them and doesn’t pigeonhole them to one sound unlike The Script or One Republic. Adam Levine hasn’t lost his personality in his vocals and continues to deliver the right balance of “swagger” and “rockstar” in the one song. Maroon 5’s fifth studio album “V” is going to be a big one for the band and even see’s them collaborating with Gwen Stefani on a track. Time will tell if “V” delivers but what are your thoughts on “It Was Always You” and previous single “Maps”?
