No, this isn’t a late April Fools prank…Short Stack are back! After a short hiatus Short Stack have shocked everyone by reuniting with the release of a new single and two special shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Social media went into overdrive after the announcement with fans taking to sites like Facebook and Twitter with excitement about their return. “Television” is the lead single from Short Stack’s upcoming third studio album and is a strong return. The song is very similar to the material on their previous album “This Is Bat Country” with a matured pop/rock sound driving the song. With high energy and an infectious chorus you can’t help but start singing along to it. I’m going to be honest when I say this isn’t their best but it’s still a enjoyable song if you’re a fan of the pop/rock genre. Shaun Diviney’s vocals have improved from earlier recordings and he gives a notably strong vocal delivery in ‘Television’. If you loved or hated them Short Stack made a massive impact on the Australian music industry and their return is going to be a talking point for a long time coming.
Short Stack will be launching the single and playing all their hits in four exclusive shows this June/July. Tickets to the first Sydney and Melbourne shows sold out instantly with the band adding second shows later that afternoon.
