FESTIVAL SPOTLIGHT: Soulfest

Soulfest

Soulfest is Australia’s first ever annual Neo-Soul, Jazz & Hip Hop Festival and it boasts one of the biggest line ups this genre has ever seen not just in Australia but in the world. IEG Presents have secured some of the industry’s biggest names including Maxwell, D’Angelo, Common, Aloe Blacc, Mos Def, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild and Leela James. Combined this international line up has over 50 Grammy nominations and see’s Maxwell and D’Angelo playing the same event for the first time ever. This line up is quite special with each artist bringing something unique to make this event unforgettable. Aloe Blacc is someone who has been having massive success recently with his recent hit single ‘The Man’ and featuring on Avici’s ‘Wake Me Up’. All eyes will be on him when he hits the stage to deliver a high energy set. Soulfest wouldn’t be complete without some of Australia’s own neo-soul, jazz & Hip Hop favourites including Miracle, X Factor finalist Nathaniel and The Voice’s Ms Murphy

Soulfest will be travelling to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane playing to boutique festival sized venues. One thing about this festival is that the promoters are trying to make this an overall experience and have a focus on the food and they have secured 60 eateries that cater a wide range of foods including soul food and Cajan. Fans can expect a 10 hour day of incredible soul, Jazz & Hip Hop music with amazing food and bars catering all cultures and tastes and an overall outstanding experience. This is one festival you do not want to miss out on. Early bird tickets are on sale now through http://www.soulfest.com.au with general public tickets on sale from 9:00am Tuesday 15 April.
