For Our Hero are a four piece pop rock band based out of Melbourne who have been kicking around the Australian music scene for a couple of years. They have opened for the likes of Yellowcard, Mariana’s Trench, 3OH!3, Short Stack and Diviney as well as playing at Big Day Out 2013 in Melbourne. Citing influences in there sound from Paramore, Fall Out Boy and John Mayer this four piece have a really fun sound and image. If you ever see them live they get the crowd moving with their energetic live show and will leave you walking away from the gig impressed. Their debut album ‘Strange Days’ reached number two on the rock album charts on ITunes and the band have just released their new EP.

‘Young Wolves’ is dedicated to their very supportive fan base and this is a very impressive release from the band. It has a more pop influence compared to their previous material but it still works in their pop/rock format. Lead single which is also titled ‘Young Wolves’ features guest vocals Alex Deleon from The Cab. This song has a very dark theme and sound but it simply works. The hook “Maybe I love how you push and pull. We’re not lover’s baby we’re just wolves” will continually play though your head, humming along to the beat. Check out the music video for this sick track here;

Another strong track on their new EP is a song called ‘Take The Night’ which features vocals from fifteen year old Melbourne singer Rachel Costanzo (Check out her debut single Blindside if your into Dance/Pop music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRPk42U0TuA). This song is one of the more pop influenced songs on the record and is more of the uplifting tracks.

The rest of 2013 will see the guys touring and celebrating the release of their new EP and working on the next studio album.
