Kelly Rowland Airs Her ‘Dirty Laundry’
Kelly Rowland is set to release her new studio album ‘Talk A Good Game’ on June 18th and she’s just dropped what is most likely the most controversial track off the record.
‘Dirty Laundry’ has already got everyone on social media talking, she explains that this is her most vulnerable song and it’s time to tell her story. As the titles suggests, this song is about laying out the truth of her feelings and incidents that were happening behind the scenes. She opens the track singing about her jealousy towards Beyonce and her bittersweet feelings towards her. And later admits that the man she was seeing was turning her against Beyonce and she now misses her a lot. “Bittersweet, She was up, I was down”,” kinda lucky I was in her shadow”. Jealousy is a very healthy thing and there’s no way Kelly should feel embarrassed about admitting this.
She then opens up about a relationship she had with a man who was putting his hands on her and physically abusing her and turning her against her loved ones. “Meanwhile this nigga putting his hands on me.” “I was battered. He hit the window like it was me, until it shattered. He pulled me out he said don’t nobody love ya but me not your momma, not your daddy and especially not Bey. He turned me against my sister”.
This is a very emotional and real track with the hook repeating itself in your head “Let’s do this dirty laundry” and she does air some truth and you’re left thinking wow I had no idea that any of this was happening in her life.
