Artists Spotlight: Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea is a female rapper from Sydney Australia who has moved over to the U.S to fast track and further her music career. She released her debut EP ‘Glory’ and a few mix tapes over the past year including ‘TrapGold’ and my personal favourite ‘Ignorant Art’. She was also featured on Steve Aoki single ‘Beat Down’ which gave her great exposure. Iggy has just opened for Rita Ora on her massive ‘Radioactive Tour’ in the UK and is currently on tour in Europe with NAS. She started getting noticed in the industry when she uploaded her first single onto YouTube for a song called ‘Pu$$y’.

2013 is set to be a big year for Iggy Azalea and she’s definitely one to keep an eye on. Her debut album The New Classic is slated for release later this year and her debut single ‘Work’ has just been released.

If you like Rap with attitude then you will love Iggy Azalea, her music is very fun, dirty, controversial and very likeable. Songs you should definitely check out are; ‘Pu$$y’, ‘My World’, ‘Backseat’, ‘Bac 2 Tha Future’, ‘Murda Business’ and her debut single ‘Work’. Listening to her music you would think she’s some ghetto black rapper but she really isn’t, she’s an attractive blonde, pale white girl from Australia with an intriguing voice.

Australian fans prepare for return of Iggy Azalea in our country with Iggy recently tweeting that she has a surprise for Australian fans very soon! Time to prepare.
